💡 Let’s break the process into manageable steps to declutter sentimental clutter:
1️⃣ Take the emotion out of the task. Focus on your goal: In this case our client wanted to convert it into a guest bedroom/office.
2️⃣ Separate items by category. Photos, decorative items, tickets, cards, etc.
3️⃣ Reflect: Do I need the physical item, or was it just an experience I’ll always remember?”
4️⃣ Get rid of the cardboard boxes and into clear bins for visibility. Cardboard causes anxiety.
5️⃣ Label your bins so theres never any guessing of whats inside.
6️⃣ Revisit in a year—your perspective will change with time.
